He said the challenge is not with the separation of accounts but how to recover 100 percent of their operational costs.
In compliance with the federal stipulated orders, the Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission is requiring CUC to separately account for revenues and expenses of its power, water and wastewater divisions.
Staring in the first quarter of fiscal year 2010, CPUC said CUC is required to file with the commission quarterly reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, for each of its operating divisions.

“All the other managers should understand that we have a power generation crisis and we need to dedicate our efforts to solve it. We also have a water and wastewater crisis so we should also focus on that as well,” he said.
According to Muna, CUC’s financial situation is “stable” but it is still working toward getting much needed resources.
