Fish and Wildlife employee arrested for ‘ice’ trafficking

U.S. District Court for the NMI Designated Judge David A. Wiseman told Raymond Roberto to ensure his appearance in court.

Roberto, who was represented by attorney Victorino Torres, issued a $25,000 property bond for his appearance bond.

Roberto was arrested by federal agents on Oct. 20 in Lower Base.

Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Brian V. Todd filed the complaint against Roberto for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

On Dec. 29, 2008, Roberto possessed .2  gram of “ice” and sold it to a DEA cooperating source, Todd said.

On that day, Todd said the cooperating source called Roberto through his cellular phone and negotiated for the delivery of “ice” worth $150.

The cooperating source then called Roberto who agreed to sell “ice” at his house in As Lito, Todd said.

Roberto met the cooperating source by the vehicle’s window,  where Roberto handed to the DEA cooperating source a small ziplock bag containing “ice” in exchange for $150, Todd said.

The controlled substance that Roberto sold to the cooperating source yielded a 98.1 percent purity level, according to Todd.
