The awards in all five sectors — environment, private, education, health, and public capacity — amount to $8,954,239.00.
Anefal reiterated his communication to the legislative body on Sept. 21, 2009 in which unsigned JEMCO resolutions were submitted.
He said the approved amount by JEMCO mirrors the Yap state budget review committee’s recommended FY 2010 budget.
Anefal further stated that upon preliminary review, there appears to be a difference of $95,691.00 between the approved JEMCO budget and that which the legislators appropriated during their last session.
This is a discrepancy that may need to be revisited, he said.
“Regretfully, this figure is the result of cuts and deductions [by the legislature] made largely to the proposed salary increases and fringe benefits for employees,” he added.
