Each team of men, women and youth is composed of the aces in the group’s monthly tournament.
The draft picks for men’s team are Alex Castro, Kitz Barja, Percy Omechelang and Simon Manacop.
In the women’s team are Emi Williams, Diane Camacho, Gloria Omechelang and Elsa Zapanta.
The youth or Capitol Hill men’s team is composed of Raphael Zapanta, Raymond Angeles, Raymond Zapanta and Jared Gutierrez.
They will be led by team manager, Ross Zapanta and SBA President Jerry Tan.
To be held until Nov. 27, the weeklong bowling event is held annually and aside from CNMI and Guam it draws participants from Asian countries like Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Taiwan.
In 2007, the tournament was held in Macau, China.
The tournament is officially sanctioned by the International Bowling Federation and the World Tenpin Bowling Association, the world-wide governing bodies of tenpin bowling.
This year, the event will be held Central Lanes in Tamuning, Guam.
The bowlers will initially be participating in singles, doubles, and team. The total scores in the three events will also be used to determine the All-Events winners. The top 16 male and female bowlers in the all-events will then qualify for the two-day Masters Event. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded for each of the five events.
SBA likes to thank Tan Holdings Foundation ($1,000) and IT & E ($300 plus shirts and phone cards) for their support to the delegation. SBA President Jerry Tan also likes to recognize and thank the bowlers for participating and paying part of the tournament expenses.
