After Emmaus High School stunned a powerful team from Palau High School in an exciting and thrilling match that left them grabbing the championship trophy of last year’s ISL – Basketball, another stimulating and breathtaking matches between high school rivals will be renewed as teams have prepared themselves for the opening game on Wednesday.
Teams for this year are, Palau High School, Emmaus High School, Palau Mission Academy, and two teams coming from Mindszenty High School namely team A and B. Games will be played on different venues at where three gyms will be utilized, Palau High School Gymnasium, Palau National Gymnasium, Fr. Felix Yaoch Gymnasium (MHS), and Emmaus High Basketball court.
Schedule of games on opening day will feature the Mindszenty High School ballers (MHS B) taking a trip to meet with Emmaus team at their home court while MHS team A hosts their game against team Palau Mission Academy at their turf.
Some ground rules to follow for each team are as follows; Games start at 4:00pm! Please be on time. (PMA games will start at 4:15pm), A team must provide a t least 1 student volunteer to table official at each of their games, rain out games will be moved to an available venue and will be decided than 3:30 p.m. that day, playoff games will be held at MHS, PHS, and EHS gyms and will based on home court advantage, FIBA rules will be used for the tournament, all athletes must meet the ISL GPA requirement of 2.0 GPA, lastly there will be absolutely no Tobacco and no alcohol allowed at the venues.
