Hasan in a press conference said that the aim of the Uighur resettlement program is to continue to look for a third country for the six Uighurs .
Palau is still a temporary home for the Uighurs, the former detainees have not been issued passports in Palau.
“World Uyghur Congress has high expectations for the US government to make continued efforts to relocate them to a permanent home,”Hasan said.
Hasan said the Uighurs were looking at either Australia or U.S. where there is a presence of a Uighur community.
The Australian government however rejected asylum to the Uighurs three times.

Hasan visited Palau last week, and he said that the Uighur leader Rebiya Kadeer has entrusted him to come to Palau.
Kadeer’s visit to Palau has been postponed due to the China’s execution of eight Uighur Muslims on charges of involvement in the recent deadly unrest in the Muslim-majority Xinjiang region.
Hasan said Kadeer is still planning to visit Palau in the future and meet the Uighurs resettling here.
Hasan however said that the Uighurs are adjusting well in Palau.
“They are satisfied here and thankful,” Hasan told reporters.
