With the recent 10-day Korean festival and over a couple of weeks after it welcomed a new chef into its Miyako Restaurant, the spotlight is turned toward the hotel’s Teppanyaki restaurant.
Beginning tonight until Saturday (Nov. 3-7), diners at the Teppanyaki Restaurant are in for new and exciting changes as a new chef comes in from the Grand Hyatt Regency in Tokyo for 10 days.
Chef Wataru Okawa who arrived on Saipan on Sunday will be introducing a totally different concept of a Teppanyaki dinner at the Hyatt Regency. He has already prepared a new menu for the diners to enjoy.
Diners at the Teppanyaki restaurant can enjoy quality meats including Certified Angus Beef, seafood like the freshest catch and seasonal vegetables prepared on a Teppan grill in an innovative style.
“I hope that guests will enjoy the harmony of my cuisine with the wide variety of wine and Japanese sake,”
What makes the Teppanyaki Restaurant a hit with diners over the past years is the mouth-watering anticipation as guests enjoy the scent when the ingredients are grilled in a live, open kitchen.
Hyatt Regency Executive Chef Gabrielle Colombo said that in the regular Teppanyaki, diners are treated to a spectacular display from the chefs on the food preparation.
Okawa will be focusing more on the food taste and presentation, blending the flavors from local ingredients.
Hyatt’s Food and Beverage Director Ranjeet Rajebhosale said that after the week-long promotion, Teppanyaki diners need not be disappointed because they will continue the new features.
“The goal is to have our chefs here trained with the new Teppanyaki concept and we will carry on from there,” Rajebhosale said.
“We are inviting the community to come and enjoy dinner at the Teppanyaki Restaurant,” he added.
