Tropical Laundry tried to stay alive by defeating Mekeni Abe Archers on Friday with Ronald Delos Reyes dominating the offense as he scored 49 points.
The effort however, went futile as their game against the Jaypers the next day was a different story.
Von Tamayo bombarded Tropical Laundry with two-pointers as he led the Jaypers’ offense in the first quarter for a two-point lead.
Chris Camacho helped with six points and worked even harder with Tamayo burying Tropical Laundry deeper, 49-36, in the second quarter. Tamayo kept the surge firing 11 points at this period, including a three-pointer.
Delos Reyes and Art Salazar tried and succeeded in perimeter shots in an attempt to keep pace with the Jaypers but Tamayo and the rest of those seeing action were unstoppable in the third period.
Fer David who went dormant in the first half and third quarter showed no mercy as he mounted the attack and scored 22 points in the final quarter to help the Jaypers pull away and finally sent to the exit the Tropical Laundry with a 2-13 record.
