Man arrested for marijuana possession

Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon identified the man as Ivan Tewid.

Tewid was arrested for malicious mischief and illegal possession of a controlled substance.

Aguon said that Tewid was arrested early Saturday morning for breaking a car window.

Police report indicated that a man called police and reported that someone threw a rock at a vehicle which was parked near BemErmii food chain in Madelaii.

Police responded to the scene and arrested Tewid later for malicious mischief.

While he was under process for malicious mischief, police found three joints of marijuana in his possession.

Meanwhile, three men were also arrested for petit larceny and trespassing Sunday afternoon.

Police report indicated that on Sunday at 2:25 pm, a man called police and reported that three men were stealing betel nut at a private property in Ngatpang.

Police officers responded and arrested Ricardo Wasisang, 32; Daize Sechalboy, 28 and James Sonjames, 20.

In other police reports, Daywolf Kintaro, 41; Brian Joshua, 51; Wilson Niro, 47; Raymus Nakamo, 41; Anthony Ngirkelau, 33 and Charton Kenzy were also arrested for drunk and disorderly conducts, disturbing the peace, assault and battery and malicious mischief over the weekend.

Kintaro was arrested for throwing a rock at the Sunset Bar in Meketii early Thursday morning while Joshua was said to be bothering a residence in Madelaii Thursday night.

Niro was disturbing a residence in Meketii Friday afternoon while Nakamo assaulted a man in Madelaii Friday morning.

Ngirkelau was arrested for breaking the door of a store in idid Saturday morning while Kenzy was arrested for disturbing the Sea View bar in Malakal early Saturday morning.
