House Concurrent Resolution 199 was introduced by CNMI Congressman Gregorio C. Sablan and has 54 co-sponsors.
Sablan made a statement during the debate and also submitted for the record a letter of support for Echo Company and for the resolution from CNMI Rep. and Sen.-elect Ralph DLG. Torres, who watched the proceedings from the House gallery.
Sablan said his resolution thanks the men and women of Company E, 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment for their service, their dedication, and their sacrifice.
He noted that this year is the 10th anniversary “of this distinguished band of soldiers.”
He added, “This year also marks the completion of Echo Company’s second tour of duty in Iraq, where they have distinguished themselves for their fortitude and bravery, always living up the Company motto: ‘Go for broke!’ ”
