Celebrating 20 years of Managaha concession

swim and dive in the pristine waters around the island have to fend for themselves as there was no one taking care of the island.

But everything changed in December 1989 when the Department of Public Lands opened the chance for tour agents to take care of Managaha.

Tasi Tours & Transportation, Inc. general manager David Igitol said they won the first bidding as well as the following biddings and has maintained concession of the island until now.

For the first time, Tasi Tours will hold an appreciation ceremony for all their business associates who have worked with them in bringing hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world through all these years.

Igitol said that they have invited almost a hundred people, including business associates, government officials and Tasi Tours top officials to join them in the celebration for 20 successful years of concession.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Managaha Island.

“Without our business associates, we would not have succeeded to stay this long,” he said.

Igitol said that Tasi Tours serves as the center or point of contact but they sub-contracted other services to other companies like transportation, parasailing, jet skiing, diving and all other marine sports, food catering, photography, and other services.

“We bring in the tourists from Japan, Korea and other countries, book them on tours to Managaha and our business associates take care of them,” he said.
