Youth Congress urged to sponsor holiday activities

“The youth senators should start reaching out to their fellow youths with small programs like sports activities during the holidays,” she added.

Kim Ada, a student of Kagman High School, said the right time to conduct SAT review programs for the youth is during Christmas breaks when “everybody is not busy with school and is looking for something to do.”

This, she added, should be considered by the Youth Congress.

A student of Northern Marianas College interviewed by this reporter said the youth senators “should be doing political surveys and organizing community meetings. They have House sessions — how about community gatherings?”

When asked what activities they want to see during their Christmas break, another student said: “Battle of the bands will be good.”

The first house session of  the Youth Congress will be held in February, three months after it was sworn in.
