But his newly appointed public information officer, Victor Pangelinan, said the mayor will not announce the name of his nominee until the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation is organized.
According to the Constitution, the delegation has to confirm the nomination.
On Monday, the two council members who were elected last November, Ramon B. Camacho and Eric D. Demapan, took their oath of office before Gov. Benigno R. Fitial.
Immediately after they were sworn in, Camacho was named council chairman while Demapan will serve as vice chairman and secretary.
