Joyner now an anti-drug advocate

Yesterday, U.S. District Court for the NMI Designated Judge David Wiseman accepted the plea agreement signed by the federal government and Joyner who had admitted to three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute “ice.”

Joyner was assisted by attorney Bruce Berline while Assistant U.S. Attorney James Benedetto prosecuted the case.

Joyner’s mother, also his third-party custodian, and other relatives, were crying as they stepped out of the federal courtroom at the Horiguchi Building.

Former Rep. Joseph N. Camacho was with Joyner’s relatives.

The court scheduled Joyner’s sentencing for April 27.
