Five denied sexually or physically abusing their female victims in incidents that happened in 2004, 2008, and 2009.
Geoffrey K. Cabrera, 25, a Tinian resident, is facing one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, and one count of sexual assault in the first degree.
The Attorney General’s Office said Cabrera had sex with a 14-year-old girl in May 2004.
On Dec. 17, 2008, Cabrera sexually assaulted his victim without her consent, the AGO said.
Cabrera and his victim were counseled by their church leaders to repent for what they did, records showed.
Cabrera is currently out on bail.
Kurt B. King, 29, and Joseph Ray Arriola Jr., 20, denied that they kidnapped and sexually abused their victim at a cemetery on Tinian on Dec. 5, 2009.
The court released King to his common-law spouse as third-party custodian, while Arriola was released to the custody of his father. Both posted a $15,000 property bond.
King and Arriola were charged with two counts of sexual assault in the first degree.
Conrad Manglona Manglona, 32, another Tinian resident, is facing one count of assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and child abuse.
Kabirul Islam Molla, 35, was charged with assault and battery, and senior citizen physical abuse.
On Sept. 3, 2009, the AGO said Molla repeatedly punched, kicked, and knocked down his victim.
Car vandalism
George Moses Jr., 22, denied the six counts of criminal mischief filed against him by the AGO.
George was charged with damaging six cars whose front or rear windshields were broken after he stomped on them on Dec. 27, 2009.
The six cars were parked behind the Mobil gas station in San Jose.
Presiding Judge Robert Naraja ordered George to attend his status conference hearing on Feb. 24.
Assistant Attorney General Rosemond B. Santos is prosecuting the case, while Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig is representing George.
Shortly after the car owners called police, George was arrested, but was released more than 24 hours later.
George was again arrested on Jan. 8, but the court released him and scheduled his arraignment, which was held Monday.
Burglary
Johnny John, 23; Roger Jones Sellem, 23; and Jerry Sammy, 18, have denied the criminal charges filed against them for the burglary of Johnny’s Bar on Dec. 26, 2009.
They were charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and conspiracy to commit burglary.
Sellem is facing another count of theft of vehicle.
Police said the suspects used a bolt-cutter to gain entry to the establishment by destroying its padlock.
Assorted beers, hard liquor and a beverage cooler were stolen from the establishment.
The ATMs were forced open by the suspects but they were unsuccessful in taking any of the cash from the machines, according to Detective Kevin Maratita.
The group’s get-away vehicle, which was already reported to police as stolen, was later seen at a gas station in Garapan.
Police followed the vehicle which parked near a house at Upper Miha.
When police checked the vehicle, they saw the stolen items. including a bolt-cutter and a bag of lemon.
Police said Emerio Cholymay reported that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence on Christmas Day by Sellem, his nephew.
