We’re proud to present the latest edition packed with updates from across the Commonwealth, including:
• New Federal Partnership in Focus. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios warmly welcomed Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary William Haguefor his first official visit, strengthening ties with the U.S. Department of the Interior and reinforcing collaboration on Section 902 talks.
• Saipan Agricultural Fair Week Proclaimed. June 22–28 is officially Saipan Agricultural Fair Week! With the theme “Together We Grow and Support Our Farmers’ Growth,” the proclamation highlights unity and support for local farmers ahead of the 38th Annual Agricultural Fair on June 28.
• Historic Apprenticeship Milestone. The CNMI Department of Labor celebrates the first-ever registered apprenticeship graduation ceremony, recognizing graduates in fields such as pharmacy tech, EMS, culinary arts, and more —strengthening our local workforce with industry-ready talent.
• CNMI Advocates Boating Safety. At the WSBAA Conference in Guam, the CNMI joined regional leaders and U.S. Coast Guard partners to promote recreational boating safety, sharing 2024 achievements and renewing commitment to safer waters.
• Public Voices Shape Greener Future. The Inter-Island Solid Waste Management Taskforce, led by OPD and DPW, conducted public hearings on the Comprehensive Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan, setting bold strategies for improved recycling and cleaner islands.
• DOC Outreach Powers Liberation Day Prep. The Department of Corrections’ Outreach Program contributes skilled carpentry and construction support for Liberation Day 2025 preparations — offering inmates valuable experience and a chance to give back to the community.
