Playing short-handed, the DCCA cagers stunned Docomo with tight defense in the opening of the first quarter.
This resulted to series of fouls that sent James Lee and Kae Bernardo to the free throw line.
Lee basketed his two pairs of penalty shots to help Docomo keep pace with his four points.
Bernardo went 2-for-2.
Ponse Rasa Jr. sank the first three-point of the game and Camacho had eight points in the first quarter, including the three consecutive baskets that pulled DCCA away towards the end of the first quarter.
Taj Van Buren and Elias Rangamar kept grip on Docomo’s offense limiting the phone pals’ score to 12 points in the second quarter, and DCCA never trailed.
Camacho continued the surge as he dominated the offensive rebound to stretch the lead to a two-digit figure in this period.
Andres Estolas heated up in the third quarter as he tries to help Docomo close-in by firing seven of his 13 points.
But this turned not enough to outscore Camacho who sizzled with eight points to maintain the gap.
Taj Van Buren who grabbed most rebounds fired a three-pointer.
Camacho scattered in the court 10 more points in the final quarter and Elias Rangamar fired the final shot—a three-pointer to secure the lead and win this year’s championship game.
Romeo Iginoef helped defend DCCA’s lead with his 16 points.
Bernardo led Docomo’s scoring hands tallying 19 points and Kelvin Fitial added contributed 18 points.
