A strong commitment to sports

In a brief presentation of check yesterday, Ayuyu said he is very pleased and happy to maintain their sponsorship of the Little League team, reiterating their goal which is to help the youth continue their healthy life style by getting actively involved in sports.

The Little League majors, he noted is among the most exciting part of the youth program that continues to draw a great number of sports fans while aiming to develop new generation of base ball players.

As more new kids march forward to the baseball field, the crowd on the bleachers grows as well. The attendance level of parents alone, Ayuyu observed seemed to have continued to go up.

For his part, team manager, Patrick Tenorio said that the businesses play a very important role in Little League as among the annual sports events in the islands.

That is why team’s coaches and managers, the entire Saipan Little League family and the businesses are working together as a team to make sure the youth program will continue.

As he thanked Ayuyu for his continues commitment to the Little League team, Tenorio said it is important that league or team sponsors should always be mentioned.

Aside from the $500 that will serve as the team’s entry fee to the Little League, Mc Donald’s will also shoulder the young sluggers’ uniform.

The Saipan Little League is expected to kick off in the middle of next month with 15 teams in the majors.

It was through the effort of Saipan Little League Inc., led by Joe Salas when Team McDonald’s composed of kids nine to 12 years old was formed in 2002.

Since then, Ayuyu ensured that Team McDonald’s will never miss a Little League season. Some members of the pioneering team, according to Tenorio stayed in the youth program to reach the Big League.
