A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at the St. Jude Church in Koblerville to start the celebration and a program will be presented by the members of the group at 1 p.m. at the multi-purpose center.
The Light and Salt Catholic Charismatic Community mission is to bring people closer to God through prayer meetings, Bible sharing, outreach projects, and growth teaching seminars.
Through the years, it has drawn inspiration and support from its spiritual director, lay leaders and members who commit their time, talent, and resources for its cause.
Fr. Charlie Borja, the group’s spiritual director, said the members’ faith is strengthened through their different activities that reinforce positive attitudes.
“My message to them is to continue on to fight the good fight and battle the hindrances to better serve the Lord,” he added.
The Light and Salt Catholic Charismatic Community was established on Jan. 22, 1992 by 13 individuals who gathered at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Mt. Carmel Cathedral for a Bible-sharing meeting.
It is open to anyone who would like to experience God in a more personal way and through community praise and worship. It has around 60 members at present.
The group invites everyone to its regular activities with prayer meetings held every Monday at Mt. Carmel Cathedral and a Mass every first Monday of the month at St. Jude Church.
