Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo sentenced Tong He Bo, a.k.a. Brother, 43, to five years imprisonment on each count to run concurrently, all suspended, except for 90 days with credit of six days served.
The court told him to report to the Department of Corrections on Feb. 20, 2010.
He will be placed on probation for a period of five years, starting upon his release from prison.
He will depart the CNMI within 60 days of his release, pay a probation fee to be determined by the Office of Adult Probation and a $25 court assessment fee.
On Jan. 28, 2010, Assistant Attorney General William Downer and Assistant Public Defender Doug Hartig, who represented the defendant, reached a non-trial disposition of the case.
The court dismissed the remaining complaint against the defendant: two counts of trafficking of controlled substance.
Records showed that on Nov. 26, 2008, a Department of Public Safety confidential source purchased “ice” from Tong He Bo.
