The Survivors and Ol’ Aces also triumphed as the junior league marked its second weekend.
A’s 13, Lion Heart 5
Keene Deleon Guerrero and Jared Lizama shared time on the mound and combined a total of six strike outs to help the A’s nail the Lion Hearts to five runs.
David Ada walked, got the second base on a pass ball, stole third and scored the first run for the A’s to set the lead. Jacob Tomokane singled in the third and kept the A’s in front by scoring another run.
Deleon Guerrero remained sharp from mound and helped the A’s hold the Lion Hearts scoreless again in two straight innings.
Then, the A’s stretched the lead in the fourth with three more runs.
Lizama singled in the fifth before Ada drove him in with a triple, and Kendo Villagomez hit run-scoring double to pull the A’s six runs away.
Deleon Guerrero knocked-in a two run triple in the sixth inning and the A’s ended the Lion Heart’s hope to bounce back with Tomokane hitting a triple before Deleon Guerrero drove him in on an error at the second base.
Patriots 23, Red Sox 4
Scoreless in two straight innings, the Patriots came back in the third by lambasting the Red Sox with six base hits and all the base runners making it to the home plate.
Down by two, the Patriots had Jared Sablan on the batting plate. Sablan singled, Halstead and Chriz Mizer walked and Ray Saralu hit a run-scoring triple.
Juljean Ngeskebei singled before Brandon Philip drove him in with single.
The Patriots shot four more base hits in the fourth with Henry Rabauliman knocking-in an RBI single.
With Halstead and Mizer firing a run-scoring single—their second base hit in the ball game, the Patriots went on streaking in the fifth inning to secure their win.
Ol’ Aces 6, Fielders 5
Starting pitcher, Jeremy Lizama allowed no hits to hold the Fielders runless in the first inning and had two more strike outs in the second helping the Ol’ Aces lead the game all the way to their 7-5 victory.
Lizama doubled and scored a run to tie the game in the fourth inning, and Shane Deleon Guerrero hit a run-scoring single to keep the Ol’ Aces strong in the sixth inning.
Survivors 14,IT&E Northern 13
The Survivors rallied in the second inning with Jose Lizama Jr., knocking-in a single.
Lizama drove-in run to take the lead in the fourth inning.
Nick Jones drove-in a run with a single and Daniel Smith added an RBI single to help secure the Survivors victory.
