Ambassador designate, H.E. Yoshiyuki SADAOKA will be representing his Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Johnson Toribiong, President of the Republic of Palau, as soon as possible upon his arrival early next month.
Ambassador-designate SADAKO’s profile shows that he has been in diplomatic service since August 1973 when he passed his Higher Diplomatic Service Examination. Since then, he has served in various diplomatic and ministerial posts the United Nations, in China, at the European Union, the Philippines, and at home in Japan. He has also held several important posts in some universities in Japan. His last post was at Saitama University as a counselor in the Administrative Bureau before he was appointed to take the post of Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Palau.
Ambassador-designate SADAOKA, after his Letter of Credence is accepted by H.E. Johnson Toribiong, will be the first full Ambassador of Japan to Palau. Japan has had an embassy in Palau for several years now, currently headed by Charge de’ Affaires Masayuki Takashima.
