Tanapag students to work on NMI museum book

The students from Tanapag Elementary School will continue what their counterparts from San Vicente Elementary School started a couple of weeks back.

The students from Tanapag  will cover the Japanese and German era sections of the museum.

Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School has confirmed participation and may write about the Spanish and Carolinian sections of the museum next week.

One more school will work on the sections on World War II and the Aftermath of the Battles before all the materials will be gathered, edited and prepared for publication.

CNMI Museum executive director Robert Hunter said the book the students are working on is about the museum, and not about  “supernatural encounters,” which will be written by adults.

“The kids are working on a book highlighting the history of the museum, and the different artifacts and periods of CNMI history that are featured at the museum,” Hunter said.
