Ada leads Mix Blood to 89-74 win over Managaha Boys

The Managaha Boys seemed to have anticipated Ada’s luck so they put up a strong defense in the first quarter and worked really well enough in the offense to help Carlo Samson establish the lead with 10 of his 23 points.

Mix Blood, however never laxed in their own defense and they squeezed Samson to the side to limit his second quarter scoring to four points.

And at this period, Ada took all the chance to scamper away with nine of his total points to help Mix Blood take the upper ground.

Ada kept the surge in the second half firing his second long-range shot and Wenz Namelo added 13 of his total points including five penalty shots to stretch their lead.

Mix Blood’s defense did not wane so they protected their lead all the way to the ball game and secured their victory.

Tropical’s Rowen Aquino and Angelo Fernando carried the team together in the first quarter, both in the offense and defense to secure the strong lead.

Wawa Paulos delivered six of his 12 points as he poured three consecutive two-pointers in the second quarters to maintain their lead.

Tropical found themselves clamped down by Navy Hill’s tightened defense and went on to their lopsided offense.

They were only able to inch their way forward with penalty shots from Art Salazar, Jazz Rosokow and Leo Itaas.

Aurelio’;s three-pointer in the third quarters helped NavyHill Diamond to close in, while Fernando, Rey Culala and JP Jose added two-pointers each to take the lead in the third quarter.
