The primary purpose of the scholarship is to encourage FSM citizens to pursue a post-high school education.
Any FSM citizen who is a high school senior, or a currently enrolled college student, or high school graduate (or GED) and is accepted to attend an accredited institution of higher education during the upcoming academic year will be considered.
Scholarships up to an amount of $1,000 each will be awarded.
Each scholarship awarded is limited up to $500 per semester.
Before any scholarship funds will be released for payment of second semester school-related expenses, each scholarship recipient must submit valid proof to the Rotary Club that the funds distributed for the first semester were used to pay for first semester valid school-related expenses; plus, the recipient’s grade report (transcript) for the first semester must be submitted to and received by the Rotary Club by Feb. 28, 2011.
Additionally, registration verification for the second semester must be submitted.
