Police identified the male infant as Sumang Emauel.
According to the police report, at around 7:20 a.m., a light green color Nissan vehicle coming from Medalaii was speeding.
Police immediately responded and investigate the matter. Investigation showed the car was transporting the baby to the Emergency room for medical treatment.Doctor Takakai tried to revive the infant but no to avail. The baby’s cause of death was not revealed.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old-male was also brought to the hospital after he was reportedly assaulted by two male suspects inside the Palau High School on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Gabriel Augusto. The police meanwhile identified the suspects as Sheldon Rengulbai, an inmate and Emerson Obak.
Investigation showed, at around 5:55 p.m. a female caller reported a trouble inside the PHS.
Augusto was punched the suspects threw rocks at him while the three were fighting inside the school.
The victim sustained injuries on his head and other parts of his body.
Charges of assault and battery with dangerous weapons and assault and battery are being prepared against the suspects.
