To reserve their spots, golfers who are interested to participate in the golf tournament can download the forms from NMC website at www.nmcnet.edu.

Organized by the NMI Foundation, the annual tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 24.

The NMC Foundation, a non-profit organization composed of community volunteers committed to elevating higher educational opportunities for CNMI students.

All proceeds from the tournament will be used to support NMC’s educational programs and services.

“Over the years, the NMC foundation Open has built a loyal following of golfers who are dedicated to helping the College.

We are extremely thankful for their continued support and look forward to seeing them on the golf course in April,” NMC Foundation President Ben Babauta said.

“We’re also encouraging golfers who have not played in the Foundation Open before to join us this year,” Babauta added.

“All funds raised will help our students meet their educational goals, so it’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

With a shotgun start at 7 a.m., the tournament is a medal play format. In addition to first, second and third place prizes for the flights, the tournament will include Hole-In-One prizes. The lucky golfer who makes a hole-in-one shot at the designated sites will win significant prizes donated by the tournament’s sponsors.

The entrance fee for the tournament is only $95 per player. Interested players are invited to bring their family, friends, and playing partners for a fantastic day of fun and fundraising for a good cause.

The NMC Foundation is also asking companies or individuals who can contribute company Education Tax Credit, monetary or in-kind donations to sponsor the tournament.

A special sponsors’ cocktail party will be held on April 23, 2010 at the Chambre Lounge at Fiesta Resort. Those interested in sponsoring the event or who are interested in registering to play can contact the Northern Marianas College at 234-5498 extension 1050 or 1051.
