28 Mt. Carmel students now members of honor societies

Admitted to the National Honor Society were Jalayne Benavente, Nakita Marie Cabrera, Nicole Lebria, Cameron Nicholas, Naomi Pak Nosek, Nicolas Sablan, Ji Yeon Kim, Savana Manglona, Brittany Yamagata, Lourence Camacho, Billie Ocampo,

Vanessa Sablan and Ivan Matala.

Those admitted to the National Junior Honor Society were Chelsea Bartolo, Renee Blanco, Amalina Evangelista, Joneva Guiao, Cathryn Javier, Riselle Leong, Jonathan Pangelinan, Ji Yoon Kim, Maria Fe Andrea Lazaro, Amy Taylor, Sylvia Lee, Noemy Pamintuan, Sung Hun Ryu, Janika Taimano and Emiri Iwai.

The honor societies are the nation’s premier organizations that recognize outstanding high school and middle school students.

To become a member, a student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or above and must be active in community events and activities.

Eligible students submit an application to the faculty council that screens all applications and selects only outstanding applicants.
