How has a college preparatory high school helped in your education?

A college preparatory (like NMA) high school has helped me accomplish a lot. It has challenged me and made an independent person. NMA is not just an ordinary high school. You are given full trust and responsibility to be able to attend both NMA and NMC. This has helped my education by challenging me; placing responsibility on me and helping me shape me into a more independent person.

How have the following affected your experience at NMC?

Student Life: I have become more sociable and open to others for the past two years that I have been attending NMA/NMC. Attending both schools has made me gain more peers to keep in contact with and make study groups to help me in my schoolwork

Student Services: I am a part of the SSS program. SSS is a place that I can go to and comfortably finish my assignments. Whenever I need assistance the staff and tutors are always willing to help

What did you like most about the following at NMC

Student Life: I really like the way the student life at NMC appears to be. It has taught me to be more of an independent person because it is nothing compared to a regular high school students life. As an NMC student you are responsible for yourself and getting your work in on time. This has helped me shape up my academic skills and improve my grades.

Student Services: The student services are a good source to go to for academic programs. Like I stated above, SSS is a great program that offers tutoring services, computer usage and it is a comfortable environment to do work and socialize with other students. Aside from SSS, NMC provides many different sources like the computer lab, library, counseling, and others that offers and provides many services that are needed or requested by the students.

What degree will you be receiving upon graduating from NMC and NMA?

My plan once I graduate from NMA is to continue on with my goal of attaining my bachelor’s degree in education right here at NMC.

What motto do you live by everyday to help stay focused in college and succeed in your educational endeavors?

“Don’t stop dreaming because there is nothing wrong with wanting something more.”

How has a college preparatory high school helped in your education?

Attending a college preparatory high school has helped me in a lot of ways. My choice of coming to this school along with NMC not only allowed me to challenge myself in taking higher academic (and college) classes, but also helped me be more responsible as a high school and a college student.

Were you active in any clubs at NMC? If so, what were they?

Our student council members from NMA are a part of the NMA Club at NMC.

What did you like most about the following at NMC?

Student Life: Meeting different people from different age groups and cultures was definitely the best! Also meeting great teachers and staff members who I can go back to and ask for advice was one of the great benefits from NMC.

Student Services: I liked how the ASNMC members always tried to tie all the open clubs in NMC to be interactive and tried to be helpful with every student who needed any form of assistance.

Academic programs: I liked how there was an array of class courses the students could choose from. One class that I know that will stick with me is my speech class. This class helped me be more open while giving speeches and be more professional at the same time. I hope everyone would get to experience this class.
