Dave Camacho Jr. singled before Paul fired a solo home run then, Tony Luzama drove-in a run with his double to snatch a one-run lead from the G-Ballers in the bottom of the first inning.
However, with Jun Salalila’s two-run home run in the top of the fourth, the G-Ballers, having kept San Roque scoreless in two straight innings, were winning again by two runs.
But G-Ballers batters had three consecutive fly balls that the landed in the gloves of the San Roque leftfielder Luzama, pitcher, Manny Tenorio that ended their fourth inning streak.
After Larry Roberts’ single, Tenorio walked, Luzama drove Roberts in with a single and Atalig sent Tenorio home with his sacrifice fly to help San Roque tie the ball game.
Luzama caught five fly balls in the next three innings and San Roque prevented the G-Ballers runners from touching the home plate.
Derrick Sablan and EJ Tenorio’s run on catching errors handed San Roque the advantage that held up towards the ball game, for a 7-5 victory.
6-Pack 19, Team Familia 5
The 6-Pack defenders cut Team Familia’s batting rounds quickly in the top of the first inning with first baseman Floyd Dela Cruz and short stopper Cris Alepuyo catching fly balls in a row.
Then in the bottom of the first, 6-Pack battered Team Familia with seven base hits starting from Max Kadiasang’s lead off single.
Mel Aldan and Blas Magofna walked and Jeff Repeki hit an RBI single. Paul Pua and Ben Repeki followed Jeff’s feat before Derrick Tudela knocked-in a two-run single.
Kadiasang took the batting plate for the second time but was thrown out on a fly ball but not before John Magofna and Glenn Garde hit a single apiece.
The 6-Pack sluggers went on to hitting spree towards the bottom of the third inning. Three of them hit a double apiece including that of Lucian George that drove-in a run to stretch the lead.
Glen had an RBI double in the bottom of the third and Kadiasang drove-in two runs with a single to pull 6-Pack farther away.
Team Familia was able to cut the lead in the top of the fourth inning but after JR Alepuyos’ two-run double, Repeki caught Kolin Reyes’ fly ball for the third out.
The 6-Pack added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to secure a 10-run mercy rule victory.
Berdax 14, Go for Broke 10
Scoreless in the top of the first inning, Berdax rallied in the second with Asap Ogumoro leading off a two-run home run and they went on to streak all the way to the ball game for their second victory.
Afer Ben Taisakan’s RBI double, Ben Camacho blasted a solo home run, Bill Camacho drove in a run with a triple and Jess Tenorio with a sacrifice fly to help Berdax lead by four runs.
Berdax protected their lead as short stopper Kel Kapileo caught a fly ball, pitcher Ton Magofna striking out one and second baseman throwing out Shawn Matsutaro in the first base to hold Go for Broke scoreless in the second inning.
Aling Uludong widened the gap with a solo home run in the top of the third.
Go for Broke closed in during the bottom of the third with four base hits including Vincent Pangelinan’s RBI single.
Uludong added an RBI double in the fifth as Berdax went strong again. With Ogumoro and Dung Tenorio hitting single apiece and Taisakan firing his second RBI double, Berdax secured their win.
