A handful of parents and supporters were on hand for the closing ceremony. Charles Mitchell, President and main coach for the program gave out certificates to the players. And tee shirts to some of the parents who stepped up to help coaching during the 6 weeks training.
In a total of 32 children participated the program started on the 9th of February 2010 that ended on the 18th of March in which the common sentiment from everyone that the time was very enjoyable. Mitchell mentioned in his closing remarks that the PFA board will meet and decide when the next camp will start.
Vice President Geoffrey Fyers encouraged the parents to continue to bring their children to sports events, as this was a very important way to teach them good social skills of fair play, respect and other virtues to help in their development.
In related news, NECO donates to Palau Football Association. General Manager of Neco Plaza Corporation, Peter Gayman donated 10 footballs and $200 to Palau Football Association.The association has been conducting an elementary schools training
program for several weeks at the track and field.
