Get ready to rumble

This is the first league ever that will showcase competitive basketball games and great entertainment for the crowd.

This year’s theme is in line of supporting our environment and community by refurbishing our Garapan Court and entering leagues in the CNMI into a higher level of basketball. The countdown for all interested basketball teams begin today so register as soon as possible. So far the teams and groups that have signed up and sponsored team are

The league organizers extended their applications deadlines to yesterday for the other that wanted to join. The registration fee was $ 400.

After their meetings, orientations, registrations, sign up’s, and distribution of waivers and rules the game is set to start with a glitzy opening ceremony on Saturday August 28, 2010 4:30PM at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

The games are scheduled weekly every Wednesday and Friday at the Garapan Court. If it rains, the games that will be postponed are to be move to the Ada Gym every Saturday.

There will be many awards that are up for grabs for the players. Mythical five award along with, Best in Assist, Best in rebound, Best in 3-pointers, Best in Sportsmanship, Best Coach, Best Referee, Best in Uniform, Best Muse, and Best Defensive Player.

There will be two divisions; Division A and B. The lead table official will be Marlon Sison, the technical consultant will be Ray Lizama, the league’s director will be Rey Perez, and the the head logistics will be Rolly Paraiso.

The Major awards are $1,500 cash prize with gift certificates and individual trophies for the champions. First runner up will get $250, gift certificates, and a trophy.

The awarding of the individual awards will be during the first game of the Best of Three Series at 6 PM.
