Both teams came head to head in the beginning of the first half of the game but the Kagman Sparks ended it with a six-point lead, 31-25 as Eugene Manglona and Frank Mettao took control of the game firing 10 points apiece towards the half break.
The Rollers A dominated in the second half with Savali Talalemotu keeping his scoring surge to finish with 14 points and Eli Augenbaugh contributing 13 points.
The Kagman Sparks coached by Zachary Babauta, Abigail Babauta, and Thomas Santos, fought gallantly to catch up. At the 14-minute mark however, Rollers A coached by Joe Diaz were leading by 16 points.
Rollers A’s Jason Palacios drove the ball in but Sparks’ Frank Mettao did not allow that to happen and team mate Mike Manglona stole the ball.
He was on his way to the basket but lost control putting the ball out of bound, giving the control back to the Rollers who killed the time to secure their victory.
The winner for the UBA 18 and under caging will challenge the National Team.
