“The Comelec erroneously assigned #112 instead of the correct #119 and this will definitely disenfranchise supporters of Bandila. This is tantamount to a sabotage of the right of overseas Filipinos to vote freely.”
He added, “This must be rectified by the government to prevent an injustice against Bandila.”
According to Tayag, the government must show impartiality to prove that true democratic institutions exist in the southeast Asian nation.
The Philippines will hold its general elections on May 10.
