Palau’s Franson Gibbons dominated on the light weight class after pinning down his opponent from Yap, Rickson Luthog, to grab first place and the gold, while teammate Florian Skilang Temengil put up a strong finish against Tony Towai of Pohnpei to catch another gold.
Chandis Cooper still of Palau team, took the women’s class when she beat Maureen Lamalmar of team Yap on the seniors division.
Then teammates had to battle for the overall light weight class, Skilang and Gibbons, in which gold and silver was awarded respectively for the two combatant.
