SUNDAY, May 25, 2025, marked 14 years since the baffling disappearance of sisters Faloma and Maleina Luhk.

The girls — 10 and 9 years old at the time — were last seen waiting at a bus stop near their home in Santa Lourdes, As Teo, on May 25, 2011. What followed was an unprecedented mobilization of local and federal law enforcement, as well as community members, united in a desperate search that stretched for weeks. Despite the massive effort, the sisters were never found.

In the years since, their family has kept the sisters’ memory alive. A makeshift shrine still stands at the site where they were last seen — a quiet, solemn reminder of the day everything changed.

This year, Faloma would be 24 and Maleina 23.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to urge anyone with information to come forward, offering a reward of up to $25,000 for credible tips that could lead to the whereabouts of the sisters.

At the time of their disappearance, Faloma was wearing a light green shirt with a butterfly design and blue jeans, while Maleina was dressed in a white blouse and blue jeans.

If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact the FBI’s Saipan Office at (670) 322-6934.
