Initially available for postpaid Docomo Pacific customers, Ringback Tones will also be offered to prepaid customers within the next few weeks.
A Ringback Tone, also known as Audible Ringing Tone, is the personalized song or sound that is heard by the caller after dialing a number. With Ringback Tones, subscribers have the option to customize the sound that incoming callers will hear rather than just the standard ringing currently heard on most calls.
Ringback Tones run the range of simple to complex depending on preference of the subscriber. Subscribers can designate a default sound or message to play for all callers while simultaneously assigning other sounds or messages to play for specific individuals in their address book. Selection of Ringtones can be set up or modified with all individual callers or groups.
Docomo Pacific subscribers can sign up as a monthly Pay-As-You-Go subscription allowing ringbacks to be purchased and downloaded separately throughout the month. Bundled subscriptions are also offered giving subscribers monthly credits and additional savings when purchasing Ringback Tones.
