Bon Faiyah bounces back to face Green Team again in finals

Team captain Connie Camacho led Bon Faiyah in establishing a wide lead by scoring 11 of her 25 points in the first quarter, while Nicole Lebria’s hands heated up from the perimeter to chip in six points.

Team Solid kept pace behind Bon Faiyah as team captain Amy Sletten and Nikita Hofschneider fired eight markers apiece in the second quarter.

However, Bon Faiyah maintained the lead with Camacho keeping her adrenaline surge to add nine to her first half points.

Yvonne Bennett completed fast breaks to score eight of her 18 points, and helped Bon Faiyah stretch the lead in the third quarter.

Bon Faiyah continued to tighten its defense making it real hard for Team Solid’s Lalaine Pagarao to charge the basket with her usual offensive prowess.

She insisted one time against Bon Faiyah’s forward but ended up committing an offensive foul.

Pagarao and Marie Javier poured in six and seven points respectively in an attempt to close in during the fourth quarter, but Bon Faiyah have invested enough points to make the dwindling time work to their advantage.

Stacie Mizuni and Dion Diaz added six and five points in the final quarter and Bon Faiyah showed no mercy to secure their 89-59 win and clinch the women’s basketball final slot.
