CMS Faculty drubs KES

First set proved to be a tough match between the two when CMS needed a win by two rule to finally defeat team KES in a set that lasted longer than expected. And after dropping second set to a better rallies put up by their opponent, CMS had to regroup and re – establish their momentum enroute to grab third set and finally win the match with a final scores of 27 – 25, 20 – 25, and 25 – 19.

Other winners, Airai crushed MES with a score 16 – 25, 25 – 12, and 25 – 17; GBH won over SPED in two sets, 25 – 17 and 25 – 10; PCAA beat MOE in a stimulating three matches, 26 – 24, 17 – 25, and 25 – 17.

As a result, team standings as of Tuesday, 20th of April; PCAA and PHS locked up at first place, GBH at solo second place, MES and CMS placed at third, while MOE and Airai at fourth, then KES at 5th while SPED at the last place.

Nine teams that composed of local elementary schools, high school, and institutions connected to education namely MOE, PHS, KES, MES, GBH, PCAA, Special Education, AES, and CMS is competing to get this year’s 2010 Volleyball Crown. All games will be played at the Koror Elementary School gym wherein first games will begin at exactly 6:00 p.m. followed by the second match that starts at 7:00 p.m. Rules of the league indicates that there should be a minimum of three women players in the court at all times and that first game teams will officiate the second game while the second game teams will control the first game match. Games will be based on the best-of-three sets including the playoffs and finals with all sets played to 25 points.
