Hundreds of people from all walks of life s enjoyed the night listening to live music performed by the local band and dance played by the Young Palauan women while buying foods and native products.
Local foods, accessories, baskets, plants and other native products were displayed during the event.
The event was also observed peacefully as the members of Bureau of Public Safety were deployed in the area securing the public safety.
The night market started at 5 p.m. and ended at 9 p.m.
Melso Miko, PVA community/support services manager, said the aim of the event is to promote cultural heritage (arts, craft and food) and made in Palau products. The event will also provide additional activities for tourists as well as to promote social integration between community and visitors and to provide opportunity for small locally owned businesses to generate some income.
The PVA set up some tents, tables, and chairs for the vendors.
This is the third time the PVA launched the night market.
The first Palauan Night Market was held on September and the second one was on November. Like the two previous events, the night market was also successful.
