Pilcowa now in its 4th year

On Aug. 21, its founder Ronnie Doca was installed as president for  2010-2011.

He succeeded Melquiadez Concillado who is now one of the group’s advisers.

Doca promised to continue improving the lives of guest workers through legal means.

He reminded Pilcowa’s new officers that unity among them can only be achieved by understanding God.

Philippine Consul General Medardo Macaraig inducted the newly elected board of directors at the Pentecostal Missionary Church of  Christ- 4TH Watch in San Jose.

Pastor Claire Javillonar  led the induction of the newly elected officers.

In his brief message, Macaraig encouraged the group to work hand in hand with other community associations.

Concillado said he is very proud of Pilcowa for its many community oriented projects.

The new officers are Doca, president; Ferdinand Martin, vice president for internal affairs; Nick Riveral, vice president for external affairs; Fernando Muleta, vice president for special operation; Loriza Dizon, secretary; Anecia Perez, assistant secretary; Marissa Mejia, treasurer; Anna Linda Seno, assistant treasurer; Danilo Monteclaro, auditor; Rhodora Tesoro, business manager; Lina Domingo, assistant business manager; Edith Locsin, Arceli Dela Cruz, Alona Dela Cruz and Lorna Alcala,  public relation s officers; Wilson Rondares, John Mark Eleneano, Gerry Barbo and Anthony Buenaflor, marshals.

The members of the board of directors are Melqui Pacis, chairman; Armando Macatantan, vice chairman; Joyce Estabillo, board secretary; James Dagupan, ombudsman, Ramon Liangco and Alex Ong, spiritual advisers; Eugenio Royo, grievance officer; Camilo Peralta, Diosdado Maravalles, Nieves Quitevez, Jun Lacanilao, Reynaldo Villegas, Carlos Piedad and Ramir Calimag,  members.

The working committee general membership chairwoman is Juliet Martin and her co-chairman is Solita De Jesus.

Pilcowa’s advisers are Thess Samson, Melquiades Concillado, Evelyn Del Mundo, Gaudencia Corilla and Dory Sison Torres.

The event was also attended by Philippine labor representative Carmelina Velasquez, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration officer Reynaldo Tayag, who was with his daughter Liway, American Memorial Park ranger Nancy Kelchner, who delivered  a congratulatory message, and Rabby Syed, United Workers Movement president.

The program emcees were Bambi Muleta and Beverly Sarco.
