Archers 75, Brothers 71

Both teams were very close to having overtime, but the Archers wouldn’t take any risks. The team improved their chances of winning when Edmark Mendoza shot for an extra two-pointer, giving them a four point lead by the end of the match.

The Archers gained their first lead in the first quarter, after scoring 18-9 against the Brothers.

The Brothers retaliated with a much stronger offense during the second quarter when Perry Inos landed a couple baskets behind the three-point line. Brothers’ Jonathan Detera later offered another three-pointer with two successful jumpers.

The Archers maintained steady pressure on the Brothers by the second half of the game. Any rushed plays would possibly lead to turnovers by the Brothers. Eventually, the Archers secured their win from Rommel Usi and Robert Guinog, who shot for a combined total of 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Their match was a rescheduled game, resulting from ensuing rain that occurred this past weekend.
