July is Eye Injury Prevention Month

The leading causes of eye injuries include sports accidents, consumer fireworks, hazardous toys and games, household chemicals, battery acid, workshop and yard debris.

If any of these events happen to you or your family, get immediate medical attention if there is pain or any question of vision damage.  Flood chemical burns with water, but in case of a cut never attempt to wash out the eye or remove an object stuck in the eye.

Summer Special:  Free Vision Checks for the Kids!

Summer is here and the time is right for bringing the kids or even the whole family for a free vision check!

Marianas Eye Institute provides this community service to help bring awareness for early detection of vision problems.  It is important to know that vision checks do not take the place of a comprehensive eye exam, they merely help detect whether or not your child is having difficulty seeing the chalkboard or reading their textbooks.

To know the health of your eye, we recommend a comprehensive eye exam, which is covered by most insurance companies. Marianas Eye Institute cares about your vision.  We want you to see your best.  Now that school is out, come by for your free vision check today!

Founded in 1997, Marianas Eye Institute has grown to become a regional leader in eye care.
