Twelve guys and a single woman will represent team Palau wrestling and they are Oceania champ Elgin Elwais to compete for the 55 kilos, Fanson Gibbons fighting for the 66 kilos, Dylan Talbot for the 50 kilos weight class who have been competing back in Los Angeles, Head Coach John Tarkong will have to challenge on 96 kilos. The team also has Florian Skilang Temengil, Radley Umang, Rengiil Ueki and other members who will be the key to the success of the men’s team while Samantha Rechelluul will be the only female who will represent team Palau.
The matches will kick off with Greco Roman competition on Tuesday, 3rd of August, followed by Freestlye on Wednesday, 4th of August, and then Beach Wrestling that will have long island beach as the venue. Games will begin 9 am and will last until 5 pm.
Countries that will be participating are Marshals, Guam, Yap, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, and Palau. Coach Tarkong claims that all teams from various countries mentioned have been training hard for this day and so we will be seeing some stirring, rousing, and awesome showcase of field of wrestling.
