ARRA opens up more projects, job opportunities

The position open is for a community worker for the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs-Division of Youth Services on Rota who will provide administrative support to the programs of the division. The post is open until Aug. 6, 2010.

ARRA has also updated the requirement for an entry level ecologist for the Laolao Bay Project and re-announced the need for an administrative manager for Northern Marianas College’s nursing department.

Interested businesses can also bid for the different projects of the Department of Public Works such as a bid for waste characterization/feasibility study for the CNMI which must be submitted not later than 4 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2010; supply and delivery of home energy office kit for DPW-Energy Office, submission date of which is 1 p.m. Aug.

10; and replacement of street lamps to LED street lights for Saipan, Rota and Tinian. All bids must be submitted by 10 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2010.

Available projects under the Public School System include repair/replacement of the roofs of Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School, Tanapag Elementary School, Garapan Elementary School, and Oleai Elementary School, the deadline of which is 9 a.m., Aug. 2.

Bids for three separate projects for the repair/replacement of roofs for San Vicente, William S. Reyes, Elementary Schools and Hopwood Jr. High School; for the general repair of Rota High School, Rota Jr. High School and Sinapalo Elementary School; and general repair of Tinian High School and Tinian Elementary School project must be turned in no later than Aug.  17, 2010.
