On Saturday, the group also conducted a cleanup drive in the village as part of its first year anniversary celebration.
The cleanup is a regular activity of the task force in Dandan, Camacho said.
The task force’s Dandan block captain is encouraging other members of the public to join community development activities and the fight against criminality.
“We would like to have more people get involved in our advocacy,” he said.
Saipan Republican Reps. Joseph M. Palacios and Eliceo D. Cabrera have been very supportive of their group, Camacho added.
Palacios, in a separate interview, said he is hoping that other villages will join the campaign against criminality.
He said he has discussed the task force with other members of the Legislature.
“They are also supportive of the group,” he added.
The involvement of many people in the task force will definitely reduce, if not eradicate, crimes on island, he said.
