DL Cooking Gas, Trinity virtuosos

During the first game, Jun Abedes and Sonny Ebuen work together scoring 4 points each with teammates Marvin Marchadesh from DL Cooking Gas grabbing a 2 point lead over Taga Security 15-13 at the bottom of the first quarter.

During the second quarter, DL Cooking gas widened the gap to 4 points as Elgen Mangali of Taga security tried to close the gap with 6 points of his own. In the third quarter however, Mangali fires three pointers working with teammate Leo Apelo who also fires a couple of three pointers to close the gap to Taga Security-46 and DL Cooking Gas- 47.

In the last ten minutes of the game, Mangali and teammate Leo Apelo try their best with a combination of 6 points and five points to close the gap, but that was no match for DL Cooking Gas. Nelson Alfonso of DL Cooking Gas score 10 points of his own while teammate Gil Gapor bucketed 6 points of his own to take the win 72-65.

With a back to back game, team Trinity beat team Migs in the Miller Lite caging at the Gualo Rai court last Sunday. During the opening warm up minutes of the game the crowd was really pumped up for this game.

During the first quarter, Team Trinity only let team Migs score 4 points. Trinity’s Epi Cabrera fired his three pointers sending the crowd into frenzy. He alone scored 12 points for Trinity working hand in hand with teammates Michael Palacios and Eric Dulfo who helped with 4 points of their own. With Cabrera, Palacios, and Dulfo working together, they take a whopping 18 points at the bottom of the first quarter.

Migs’ John Jugos scored 6 points playing hard with teammate Rasty Doronilla, and Toto Banatasa who score 5 point a piece to close the gap between them and team Trinity to only 11 points at the end of the second quarter.

Epi Cabrera again fired his three pointers gathering 6 points for Trinity playing fiercely with teammates Michael Palacios and Eric Dulfo who scored 8 points a piece to keep a very safe distance from Migs still holding on to the win by 16 points. Meanwhile Migs’ Joel Jugos tried to catch up with his three pointers but his resistance was futile.

With Trinity’s Epi Cabrera, Migs did not have a chance. Cabrera was on a roll for his three point shots. With him firing three shots, Jude Loste and Eric Dulfo helped him out with jump shots and lay up’s. By the end of the game, Trinity dominated with a blow out score of 87-61.
