But what I wonder and ponder most is do the voters really realize the magnitude of this revelation that verges history in the making for the CNMI. Do voters really know this is an opportunity for the CNMI to have an ENTIRE party in Congress (members of the House of Representatives and the Senate) OFFICIALLY working to help our delegate in Congress?
Do voters realize the CNMI has NEVER had this kind of political real estate in Washington politics? Do voters realize it will be the FIRST time in Congress our delegate will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in committees?
Do voters realize this revelation is a clear signal the former governor is ALREADY working to fix many of our ailments in Washington? Do voters know this revelation has the potential to finally put the CNMI in a position to have a real political influence on national policies and laws? I could really go on and on with the potential benefits to the CNMI but I’m sure the common sense people have gotten the message and it really doesn’t matter about the rest because if they don’t get it by now then they probably will never understand how big and important it is for voters to seize the day.
Will voters be objective and put personal preferences aside to make a decision purely on facts? Will some voters stop looking backwards in the past long enough to make a rational decision based on the facts of TODAY! Many biased voters will try to find excuses based on past events instead of looking forward to the potential they have in front of them today. We are all human and we have all made mistakes so let her/him among you that is perfect throw the first stone. I know rational people won’t. I truly believe everyone in the race for the delegate post is very dedicated to the CNMI but you can be sure based on this recent revelation that only ONE of them has a much better chance of doing a GREAT job in Washington. Politics IS NOT personal because I really admire two of the candidates but I can only vote for one and with politics being a true team sport I must vote for the BEST PLAYER with the BEST TEAM to help the CNMI. The decision is really just that simple!
This IS NOT the time to just be satisfied with the status quo, especially when we have an opportunity to do much much better! One people one direction for sending our BEST equipped politician to Washington.
