Rain pours down mercilessly on UFO league

The glossy opening of the league did in facet, commence at the Garapan court. But because of some problems that arose a few weeks back, and the weather has not improved from the constant down pour and drabness of the atmosphere, the league officials decided that it would be better for them to play in the court near the Marianas Variety’s head quarters in Garapan behind the JP Center.

With the league fiercely blazing on, team MDX Chow Queen has proven to be one tough team to beat. With David Sablan leading the way for Chow Queen, the team displays strong team work, effort, and enthusiasm while playing some ball.

A couple of weeks ago, a few fights erupted between team Migs, and team Mobil. But all went well as the players and coaches alike apologized and admitted that the game had taken the better part of the sportsmanship away.

So far into the league, the games are scheduled weekly on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s provided that the rain also agrees with the schedule.

There have been quite a handful of delays as the rain pours down mercilessly on the court soaking it and the players also.

There is a game scheduled for tomorrow August 28, 2010, at 6PM. The games open with the master’s division with team MAFEA pegged up against team MDX-PTC. If all goes well the second game will be the open division with team CAVITE pegged up against team NMBA-Island Apparel.

Some of the previous games have been cancelled due to rain, so they must make these games up to put everything back up to date and on schedule.

The league officials highly urge the community to come on over to support and cheer their team on every Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s.

Playing basketball is a great way to stay fit and healthy. Watching the league is great way to keep the community entertained.
