Vice Speaker Felicidad T. Ogumoro, Covenant-Saipan, said the study and use of the indigenous language is a crucial component to enhance the CNMI’s birth-right culture and heritage.
Ogumoro is the sponsor of House Resolution 17-4 which expresses support for CAO’s mission. The resolution has already been adopted.
If the grant is approved, it will fund the Carolinian and Related Language Assistance Project, among other programs.
